In the future, email interactivity is going to continue to evolve. It’s already happening, in some cases; Gmail is already allowing marketers to put some simplified JavaScript elements within email. Gmail also announced AMP for email in early 2018.

It’s likely that more email clients and email platforms are going to allow for additional JavaScript elements, so long as there are no security issues involved. If that’s the case, it’s something that has the potential to be impactful and beneficial to the email marketing industry.
