BounceCheck from MailNinja is an email cleaning and verifying tool.

What we check for

MX check

Is the email addresses domain name registered and verified? Our Data Verifier tool will look up to see if the associated domain name is registered. If not, the email address does not exist.

Valid syntax / Format check

Is the email address real? We scan the addresses in your list to check the syntax – i.e. does the address contain an ‘@‘ sign, close with a .com or other domain extension, contain valid characters etc.

Gibberish Email Address

We check to ensure the address doesn’t look like a random email address. For example, doesn’t pass the test.

Disposable Email Address

We check if the email address has a domain name used for temporary email addresses.

Presence of SMTP Server

This check is successful if we are able to connect to the SMTP server (indicated in MX records).

SMTP Check

We test the email address and see if it bounces or not.

Accept-all Domain

We check if the server has a catch-all policy which accepts all the email addresses.

Remove duplicates and empty rows
